There once was a boy named Aladdin who was the son of a poor man who wished to be a fashion designer. Aladdin was walking down the street when a man approached him. The man claimed to be his father’s brother but Aladdin had never heard of him before. We invited him over for dinner but quickly ran home to ask his mom about this man. Aladdin’s mom did remember that he had a brother but had never met him before and agreed to make dinner. The man arrived at the house and she recognized him right away as if was the famous chief, Gordon Ramsay, from the cooking show Hell’s Kitchen. Gordon Ramsay kissed the pictures of his brother in their house and talked about young childhood memories they shared. After he left Aladdin’s mother became skeptical about if he was his brother or not but kept it to himself. Gordon and Aladdin went to New York Fashion Week but Aladdin didn’t have any clothes so they stopped by Tom Ford to get him a suit. During the shows and after-parties, Aladdin grew tired and tried to call an Uber home by Gordon refused. He said that if he stayed he and his family would be full of fortune. After the party ended Aladdin patiently asked where his fortune was. Gordon said he must ride a magically subways to a destination and handed him the magic JUUL which was the whistle to call the subway. Aladdin and Gordon went down to the subway and call the magic subway. The subway took them down a long tunnel and there was the most beautiful Hydro Flask of them all. Aladdin called the magic subway and just as Aladdin tried to get in Gordon started throwing blades of fire on him and took the hydro flask so we were left at the station. Aladdin scared and anxious looked around and saw a dusty Swell in the corner and opened it up looking for water. Out emerged Teresa Giudice from Real Housewives of New Jersey and asked Aladdin what his wish was. His wish was to go home and within seconds he was in his house. Aladdin showed his mother the dusty Swell and told her the power that it had. Aladdin felt so infinite that he asked his mother to go to Kris Jenner’s house to ask for Kylie Jenner’s hand in marriage. The mom extremely skeptical granted his wishes and took the first trip to LA where she went to see Kris at Jenner Communications. When she met Kris Jenner to ask for Kylie’s hand in marriage Kris gave her an impossible mission to complete. She said Aladdin must find three matching McDonald’s monopoly peel offs that win McDonald's for life and bring it to Kris. The mother returned home to tell Aladdin about the mission. Aladdin rubbed the dusty Swell and asked for the three matching McDonalds Monopoly peel offs. Teresa Giudice came back with them and sent Aladdin on his way. When he arrived at Jenner Communications Kris was shocked to see that he had completed the mission but always kept her promises and took him to meet Kylie. Kylie immediately fell in love with Aladdin and came out with an Aladdin Kylie Lip Kit Collection. Gordon Ramsey got word of Aladdin and Kylie’s love and dressed up as DJ. Suki from Trolls the movie to get into the house and kidnap Kylie and the Swell. Moments before his plan work Aladdin saved Kylie and the Swell and set a curse of Gordon to never be able to go within 500 miles of them again.

  1. Hi Grace! I have to say that I love a modern adaptation and I enjoyed this a lot. You did a great job at keeping with the theming of the original, but still making it silly and fun. I’m happy for Kylie and Aladdin. Good for them. I thought this was quite fun. I never would have thought to retell Aladdin like this. Nice work!

  2. Hi Grace! This really is a modern version of Aladdin; it was chock-full of contemporary pop culture references. You followed the theme of the original story, but also made it more light-hearted and fun. Was not expecting Aladdin to end up with Kylie Jenner, but that was a fun surprise for me! Really unique retelling of this story, great job!

  3. Hello Grace!

    TAG Feedback:
I like how you modernized Aladdin in this story. (cc: @Disney). While not necessarily sticking with the original source, the modernization made it yours. On a side note the 1992 song, Arabian Nights, is blasting in my head now. Gonna watch it on Disney+ after I'm done here so mission accomplished on that front.

Why do you write your stories in this format? While it's an interesting and great story the formatting makes it a bit difficult to follow along in this regard.

So building off of the A in the TAG, I'd like to suggest re-formatting for paragraph breaks so we can see when one area ends and another one would begin.

Hope to read more from you in the future!
